Gemeinde Rödelsee

From 21st May to 1st November 2020, a little later than usual due to the corona pandemic, the local tourist bus line “Dorfschätze Express” (Village Treasures Express) runs through forests, meadows and vineyards again to take you to our beautiful cultural and natural treasures.

On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, you can use this bus line (number 108) to travel to a wide variety of sights, trailheads and restaurants. Provided that the coronavirus does not strike back.

The bus operates between Iphofen train station and Prichsenstadt, via Rödelsee, Wiesenbronn, Castell, Rüdenhausen, Abtswind and Wiesentheid. After spending a great day discovering the numerous treasures of our villages, walking one of the scenic trails and stopping by at a cosy beer garden, wine tavern or restaurant, you can get on the Dorfschätze Express again and return to Rödelsee (or Iphofen if you arrived by train). And of course a hearty and delicious Franconian dinner awaits you at Rödelsee’s restaurants in the evening.

The first Dorfschätze Express running on Saturdays (departure from Iphofen at 10:15) is accompanied by a tour guide who can tell you interesting things about the treasures of our villages (probably in German only). You can download the up-to-date timetable below.

All passengers are required to wear face masks!

Please check ahead whether and when sights, restaurants etc. are open again.

Bayern-Tickets and VGN or VVM tickets already purchased are valid on the bus.

Tickets are available from the bus driver.

VVM and VGN tickets can be bought on the bus.

Bicycles can be taken on the bus, provided there is enough space, i.e. depending on the number of passengers; no more than 4 bikes per bus.
